Take a 50 pound fishing line, tie the smallest hook you can find on the end, put a couple of pieces of corn on the hook. Tie the line to a stump, root or cinder block under the water so the hook and bait doesn't come to the surface of the water. Spread some other pieces of corn around the block and if there are ducks in the area, pretty soon, you'll have ya self a duck for dinner. Good for a emergency survival sitution ONLY.

Lonnie -- ahh I was told -now I dont know this for sure- but if you take a trot line and about every 6ft tie a 10lb leader on , then stake it just off the edge of the bank , baited with corn [cheap stuff in a can] were the geese and ducks are landing you will end up with a gunney sack full of them -just make sure that every 4th leader you stake the line or they will go to the bank with it and cause the others not to eat because of line moving , but remember I was just told this and in no way would I something like this ... -D-

We had a poacher once that would tie fishing line with a light wire leader to a fish hook, bait it with canned corn and tie it about knee high to a stout limb, that scoundrel got a lot of turkeys before we caught him
